National Museum of Nature and Science

The first lathe domestically produced in 1889 is preserved. Ikegai carefully stored the lathe and presented it to National Museum of Nature and Science. It is currently exhibited as a symbol of the beginning of modernization of science technology.

Memorial Foundation of Sail Training Ship "Nippon Maru"

Japan's first large-scale marine engine manufactured in 1930 was used in Nippon Maru ship for 54 years by September 1984 and established a world record as an engine used for the longest period of time. The working hours, 54 years 2 months 20 days 4 hours and 7 minutes was recognized as the world number one and recorded in Guinness Book 1988.

Museum of Maritime Science

High speed diesel MB820 was produced through the technology alliance with Daimler-Benz of West Germany in 1961. As its features, it is light and small and provides high performance. Taking advantage of these merits, it is used as an engine for hydrofoil craft and speedboat.

Fushiki Toyoama Port Kaiwomaru

In 1930, Ikegai's diesel engine was also mounted in Kaiwomaru which launched about the same time as Nippon Maru. It has been anchored at Toyama New Port for public viewing since 1990. In 1992, Kaiwomaru Park was established as a dedicated exhibition area for people to keep adoring the ship.

40 minutes from JR Takaoka Station to Kaiwomaru Station by Manyo Line. It is located at Kaiwomaru Station.

Several Ikegai's precious machine tools were carefully preserved and exhibited as pioneer machines that created history.
